Help Us Reach Our Goal of $150,000

Dear MTS Family,

In order to produce a show at Musical Theatre Southwest it takes approximately 125 volunteers working tens of thousands of hours. A single show’s budget can cost anywhere from $20,000 to $45,000. We have no paid staff and no endowment. To keep our building running costs around $78,000 per year. Our ticket prices are some of the lowest in town. Our amazing all volunteer run theatre manages to produce quality productions.

We have just launched our first large fundraising effort since the 2010 fire that destroyed everything. Thank you to everyone who has already contributed to the $60 for the 60th campaign. Unfortunately, we find ourselves in a position that can’t support the dynamic season we had planned.

We regret that at this time, we need to postpone our production of Disney’s Newsies. This ambitious show requires more resources and support than we have at the moment.

We invite you to a Town Hall Meeting on Saturday, June 2nd at 2pm at the theatre. Come hear more about what is going on and help with the selection process for the show that will replace Newsies’s fall time slot.
