For decades, theater-lovers have thrilled to the story of EVITA, which recounts Eva Peron’s meteoric rise from the slums of Argentina to the presidential mansion as First Lady. Adored by her people as a champion for the poor, yet reviled by the aristocracy as “trash,” she became one of the most powerful women in the world—while her greed, outsized ambition, and fragile health made her one of the most tragic. EVITA tells Eva’s passionate and unforgettable true story and features some of theater’s most beautiful songs, including “Don’t Cry for Me, Argentina,” “Another Suitcase in Another Hall,” And “High Flying, Adored.”

Told through a compelling score that fuses haunting chorales with exuberant Latin, pop and jazz influences, EVITA creates an arresting theatrical portrait as complex as the woman herself. “EVITA is a big show with big personalities and a lush, beautiful score. I’m thrilled to be able to stage this in Musical Theatre Southwest’s intimate black box theatre where the audience can be so close. They will feel transported to the middle of the streets of Argentina to witness history,” says the show’s director Art Tedesco.

Buy tickets early to guarantee your seats.
 
Please note:
  • Tickets for each show go on sale one month before the show opens.
  • There is no assigned seating—all shows are general admission.
  • Tickets will be available for sale online through the day of the performance until 5:00pm on Friday and Saturday and 1:00pm on Sunday. After this you will need to purchase them at the door.

How to Buy Tickets

  • Select the performance you would like to attend.
  • Enter your personal information and payment method.
  • Confirm your purchase.
  • Print your confirmation number. Without a confirmation number, we cannot guarantee you have a ticket.

Children
Tickets are required for every member of your party, regardless of age. In consideration of others, please ensure the show is suitable for and of interest to your child. Strollers are not allowed in the theater. Per fire code, standing in the back is prohibited.
Lost or Stolen Tickets
Lost or stolen tickets are not replaced. The name of the purchaser and number of tickets is recorded at the time of purchase. An ID will be required to claim tickets reported as lost or stolen.
Online Ticket Orders
When purchasing tickets online, please wait until you receive a confirmation number. Without a confirmation number you can print and bring with you, you do not have a ticket. For questions during or after purchase, please contact PurplePass at 1-800-316-8559.
Tickets
Unless you purchased tickets through one of the valid methods provided by the MTS Box Office, we cannot confirm the validity of your tickets or guarantee you a seat.
Group Sales
Group discounts are available for groups of 12 or more. You may select tickets for different performances of the same show. Payment for the entire group purchase is due at the time of checkout.
Exchange Policy
Online ticket purchases must be exchanged through PurplePass at 1-800-316-8559. MTS will exchange tickets for most shows purchased through the MTS Box Office. Exchanges must be for the same show and must be completed at least 24 hours prior to the performance originally purchased. If you have questions, please call us at (505) 265-9119.
Seating for People with Disabilities
MTS is committed to providing accessible environments. Seating for people with disabilities is available in designated areas in the venues. Fire code prohibits wheelchairs and walkers to block the aisles.
Sold Out Shows
If you would like to see a show that is sold out, please arrive early to add your name to our waiting list. Ten (10) minutes prior to showtime, unclaimed reservations may be released for walk-up sales.
Late Seating
For shows at the AAPAC, doors open 1 hour prior to the show. For shows at the MTS Black Box, doors open 1/2 hour before the show starts. Late seating is generally not permitted at the MTS Black Box. If you have questions, please call (505) 265-9119.
